Hi ! in today’s Post, here is a new special cover released yesterday in Cuttack, by Honorable Chief Minister of Orissa Mr.Naveen Patnayak at the inaugural ceremony of TheatrePex a stamp exhibition and India Theatre Olympiad-2009.The Theatre Olympiad is being held in Cuttack from 1st to 21st September2009. The cover depict three noted legendary personalities of international repute from Orissa. Mr.Kalicharan Patanaik,a writer,director and theatre personality, Mr.Akshay Mohanty, a writer,director,composer and singer Mr.Samuel Sahu (Babi), a writer,director and artist.
The back of the cover depicts the scenes from 16th Olympiad of international and national groups.

This festival is a celebration,the celebration of amateur theatre ! It is a festival of dramas & dances not competition.It is unique opportunity to encounter different cultures & languages through each of the high quality artistic performances.The purpose of the festival is to promote unity,peace,friendship,human understanding and education through the media of performing arts and the aim is to develop international cultural exchange,novel ideas and cooperation on people to people basis.There are 3500 delegates from different countries and Indian states.
The laudable festival was masterminded to promote theatrical expression and artistic enrichment to develop a sense of unity among various dramatic movements in the country and abroad and to forge forward national integrity,International amity and universal brotherhood through cross cultural synthesis and social assimilation.
Both these unique ventures symbolizing "Unity in Diversity " are cultural events purely voluntary on non profit basis.
During last 16 years about 1800 dramas written by 1500 playwrights renowned and promising ones and about 55000 enthusiastic armature artists and directors belonging to various socio cultural groups of India and a number of other countries of the world have remarkably Participated .
